Welcome to the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas

The Lucas County Court of Common Pleas is the trial court of general jurisdiction. As such, it has original jurisdiction over all criminal cases except minor offenses, civil stalking protection orders, jurisdiction over the appeals of decisions of certain administrative agencies, and jurisdiction over civil actions in which the amount in controversy is greater than $15,000 and jurisdiction over the appeals of decisions of certain administrative agencies.
